Main/Portfolio/Interactive Kiosk Development for Consulting Company
EYInteractive Kiosk Development for Consulting Company
The Client
EY (formerly Ernst & Young) is one of the world’s “Big Four” professional services firms. Its four main service lines cover assurance services (including financial auditing), tax services, advisory services, and transaction advisory services.
The Scope
In order to present the company’s services to potential customers in a unique and solid way, EY launched Virtual Office. Azoft specialists have designed and developed an interactive application for touchscreen interactive kiosks located in shops, trading sites, and service centers.
The Solution
The web application helps the clients
- to find all the information they need about EY’s services
- to reserve participation in seminars and consultations
- to send feedback to EY
- to schedule a meeting with a company representative.
From prototyping to interactive Kiosk deployment, the project took more than three and a half months. The software was developed using PHP, specifically Drupal 7 and MySQL. When working on the app interface, we followed the EY style guidelines. We also reworked the colour scheme of EY’s site and the UI elements, designing an experience compatible with both the site and the app.
Technologies
PHP, Drupal 7, MySQL
The Challenge
The major challenge was to overcome the limitations of terminal software and hardware. In addition, we had to block several terminal features that are incompatible with public use, which would prevent customers from working with the new app conveniently.
The Outcome
The idea of Virtual Office appeared from the need for a fresh, sophisticated way for potential customers to follow EY events and arrange meetings with EY representatives. EY’s new touchscreen information kiosk solution now allows EY to offer their services in a way that breaks the mold of stereotypical site-and-app business presentation models. It’s easy to find and convenient to use.
